Award Ceremony of the Best Exposition in the Research Catalogue 2026

🗓️ Tuesday, 23 June — 3:30pm - 4:00pm (30 mins)
Abstract
Each year, the prize for the best Research Catalogue exposition is awarded following a call for submissions and a jury process. The winner is announced at the annual SAR conference and receives a prize of €500. The Annual Prize aims to encourage and promote innovative and experimental new publication formats and to highlight the merits of artistic research artefacts.

Anyone may submit an entry, provided that the exposition has been published (rather than merely shared) on the RC platform. The exposition must be written in English. A new jury is appointed each year, consisting of a member of the SAR Executive Board, a representative from a Portal Partner, and a former prize winner. Following an in-depth review, a shortlist is made public.

Slightly extended deadline for submissions

The 2026 Forum on Artistic Research website has been inaccessible for several hours on Friday night and Saturday morning. Unfortunately, an update to the web server was scheduled to take place, which automatically activated maintenance mode and prevented any work on the submissions during the night and the next morning. We have therefore decided to slightly extend the deadline for submissions to Monday 2 March 2026 at 23:59 GMT. Feel free to work on your proposals until then.
