Abstract:
First Person Plural, a five person solo performance, in which rameses attempts to turn herself into a mirror. After a yearly practice of mirror-gazing informed by African divination and Jungian psychology, rameses has broken the contract of being. 
The viewer is invited to be a witness of this contradiction as rameses attempts to erase her image of herself. She embraces the crisis at the intersection of performance and “real life” as she spirals around the question: How does the self survive the fracturing of performing itself?

Messy and marvelous, curious and candid, needy and neurotic, the five performers and their performances are held in the same living body, trapped and transformed by the enclosure around them. 

This five person solo, shatters and recombines across the piece, rending seeing and self not as concepts but as an embodied practice; the body here becomes both the seer and the seen, a living formal constraint expressing the self.

Will she manage this ineffable feat of unseening oneself? 

Can she achieve self-erasure?

Short biographies of the presenter(s):
- imani rameses works within the fields of cognitive neuroscience, choreography and andragogy. rameses is a PhD candidate at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna, where she looks at the concept of bio-mythois, as it pertains to sight specific sites, and new neuro-anatomies of the eye. rameses has shown/performed work at ImPulsTanz, Wiener Festwochen, TQW, (SAR), and has presented her research at Harvard University, University of Zurich, and University of Johannesburg.
- Mali Moha ist eine Künstlerin, die sich vorwiegend mit der Musik und dem Klang beschäftigt. Ihr Hintergrund ist durch das Studium „Multimediaart“ geprägt, dass sie 2016 in Salzburg abgeschlossen hat. Seit 2017 realisiert sie vermehrt Projekte als Solokünstlerin „Mali Moha“ mit Fokus auf Cello, Loop Station und Gesang. „Fallhöhe“ ist ein Stück des zeitgenössischen Zirkus, in dem Mali Moha die Musik und die klangliche Begleitung ausarbeiten und 2018/19 darstellen durfte. Ebenso hat ihre Musik das zeitgenössische Zirkus Projekt „Vivid Traces“  2021 live begleitet. Sowie im Landestheater Tirol für ein Kindertheater mit Kolleginnen gemeinsam die Musik komponiert, arrangiert und aufgeführt hat.

Techincal Requirements for Sound
We will need some form of a PA system, mix board, mic stand, small table and bench for the sound designer Marleen to play cello. 

Spatial Requirements
This work requires a site specific crossing of a threshold. I will simply need a door way/hallway from which to cross from one side to another. I am happy to scout this location once I am there.
